Nurture at work
Within maternity we often work in a cortisol fuelled rather than oxytocin enhanced environment as many of us try to navigate our way through stressful shifts.
Reports highlight that health care workers including midwives, feel pressured and burnt out. Surveys tell us that many leave or are on long-term sick leave. As well as connecting with the ideas in nurture you and nurture others, we want to share our ideas on how you can help yourself at work during stressful times, and how you can help others to reconnect with compassionate care.
